• 13:00 – 14:00 (60 minutes) – Written Exam
• 14:05 – 14:45 (40 minutes) – Tasting Exam
• 14:55 – 15:15 (20 minutes) – Short Essay Exam

You study on your own using the textbook and take the exam on the scheduled day. This is the simplest plan to obtain the SAKE DIPLOMA INTERNATIONAL certification.

Exam Components:

1. Written Test: Approx. 100 fill-in-the-blank questions (60 minutes)
2. Tasting Test: Blind tasting of 4 types of Japanese sake and 2 types of Honkaku shochu & Awamori (40 minutes)
3. Short Essay Test : 2 questions, around 200 words each (20 minutes)
